Lower Extremity Arterial Ultrasound

Lower extremity arterial ultrasound is performed to detect the location and presence of peripheral arterial disease or P.A.D.. Peripheral arterial disease is the narrowing of the arteries suppling blood to the legs. This test uses high frequency sound waves to obtain images of the arteries.
